HOW DO I BOOK?
Select “Book Now” from the menu above and fill out our contact form. Once completed, we will confirm with you that your preferred date is available or if any further information is needed. You will then receive detailed instructions, our agreement and waiver, and an invoice for payment. Then you can sit back and relax while we prepare your magical escape!
PAYMENT?
We will invoice you once your date is confirmed. We require 50% down to reserve your date on the calendar. The remaining amount and your refundable liability fee is due 72 hours prior to your picnic. Payment can be made via CashApp, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. Full payment is required for any picnics that are booked less than 7 days before the event.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?
While we do our best to accommodate, the earlier the better is always best. At this time, we are unable to support two picnics at the same time so first come first serve!
DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD AND DRINKS?
All picnics come with cold water and then we offer a variety of add on options you can explore on our picnic packages page. Otherwise, you are free to bring your own food and beverages! For alcoholic beverages, it is the customers responsibility to know and follow any rules or laws and Bookish by the Sea will not be held responsible if any laws are broken by the client. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in State/Public Parks and Beaches.
WHAT ABOUT LOCATION?
We offer a variety of location set ups and are happy to help you choose one or host in your own backyard! We are happy to help you pick if you are unsure what location would be best for your specific event.
WHAT ABOUT BAD WEATHER?
Sadly, we are unable to control this factor in our fantasy realm. We can offer an indoor experience if your space allows, otherwise you will have 3 months to reschedule.
ARE WE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEAN UP?
Bookish by the Sea handles all set up and clean up!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LEAVE EARLY?
Once we leave you to your quest, you are then responsible until we return. If you need to leave early, we require a minimum 45 minute notice.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M RUNNING LATE TO MY EVENT?
Please be sure to let us know as soon as possible if you are delayed. Our picnic times start and end at the originally agreed upon time as that is what our schedule has allowed and we may have another picnic to set up following your event.
CANCELLATION POLICY?
All deposits are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your event, for any reason, the deposit will be transferred to your rescheduled event. If you cancel within 72 hours of your scheduled picnic, you will be responsible for the full invoice total.
DO YOU HOST PICNICS FOR CHILDREN?
Our specialty is curating events for adults at this time.
IS THE PICNIC DECOR/SET UP DISINFECTED BETWEEN GATHERINGS?
Absolutely! We clean and sterilize all dishes and serveware and sterilize and disinfect all decor and cushions before each picnic.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I BREAK OR STAIN SOMETHING?
Accidents happen, we get it. We will utilize all the tricks up our sleeves to get out a stain or fix something. If we are unable to, we will subtract the amount to replace or dry clean the item from your liability fee before refunding you any remaining amount.
